The Internet of Things (IoT) are the set of devices (other than computers and smart phones) which are connected to the networks, allowing them to send and receive data. The constantly expanding connections of physical entities that are digital, connected, and capable of sharing and communicating data with us and with one another. These devices can range in sizes from small sensors to large automobiles and factory equipment's . The Internet of Things enables the automation and remote control of these devices, as well as access to and analysis of the data they collect. This can lead to a variety of applications, including increased efficiency and productivity, as well as the creation of new types of experiences and services. The number of IoT devices is expected to be more than double from 14 billion in 2022 to over 29 billion in 2030.Chinese consumers will be using the majority of consumer devices, accounting for approximately 5 billion of this devices.…
We can say The Internet of Things (IoT) as a growing network of interconnected devices that are equipped with sensors, softwares, and network connectivity. These devices can communicate with each other and with other systems over the network, enabling them to perform a wide range of tasks without the need for human intervention. Some examples of IoT devices includes "smart" appliances like refrigerators and air conditioners, security systems, computer equipments like webcams ,printers, headphones , routers, and smart speaker devices like Amazon Echo and Google Home and some wearable technologies like Apple Watches ,Nike IOT shoes and smart glasses. By collecting and exchanging data, these devices can make our homes and workplaces more convenient, efficient, and secure.
With all this technological advancements IOT gives us ,we might also have some threats coming towards us .. It is true that the advancement of technology, including the Internet of Things, can bring both benefits and potential risks. As an example you can watch a movie Eagle eye -2008 to have deeper understanding about how AI can use internet of things to destroy some humans for its self benefits In the movie," the characters experience the dangers of a highly advanced AI system that is able to manipulate and control various devices connected to the internet, leading to destructive consequences. While the movie is fictional, it does raise valid concerns about the potential risks and unintended consequences of relying heavily on technology, particularly when it comes to the use of AI.
The movie is just an example , Pablo Picasso once said “every positive value has its price in negative terms ….the genius of Einstein’s leads to Hiroshima” This is pretty important topic when it comes to technology, because the benefits and advancements it brings can also introduce new risks and challenges. Nuclear power, for example, has provided a clean source of energy, but it also has the potential to cause harm if not used safely. Similarly, while the use of AI in IoT has the potential to bring many benefits, such as increased efficiency and convenience, But it also carries the risk of being misapplied or causing unintended harm to the normal peoples .As we continue to develop and use technology, it is critical that we carefully consider and address these potential risks.
